HELP does the work of Microsoft Office on the Apple iBook G4?

I have to have Microsoft Office Word, for my classes but I'm not sure if the work of Microsoft Office on the Apple iBook? anyone know?

The Windows version of MS Office does not work on Mac. You will need version Mac can run MS Office for Mac 2008, but only if you have Mac OS 10.4.9 "Tiger" or later installed on your iBook (Tiger was last updated 10/04/1911.) If you somehow can get a copy of MS Office 2004 for Mac, that might work in earlier versions of Mac OS X and be faster on the old G4. An earlier version, Office vX for Mac even was (since 2001), who also worked on Mac OS 9. But 2004 and 2008 versions are preferred. If you have not updated your OS to 10.4.11, however, the best anyway. (Office 2008 is not compatible with VBA macros, so if the classes require installation of any VBA-based add-ins for Word, forget it, or wait for the next version "2011" will be published later this year.)
