Should I buy an iPod Classic 80 GB or 30 GB Apple Video iPod repaired?

It is better to buy the old model and saving $ 70 or do I buy new classic? is the best battery life in the classic?

the classic can store up to 20,000 songs, while 30 GB is only 7,500. Classic is basically scratch proof. a single charge and can play 7 hours.i know I 1. and its awsome.it has Cover Flow.

"I can use the hard drive of 160 GB iPod classic on a laptop as a normal disk?

I have a laptop "Advent 9912" with 80 GB hard drive and want to change the disk with another outlet 160 GB iPod classic and put the handset on the iPod.
