How do I use software iRiver mp3 player right?

That was a copy / paste files to it as an external hard drive but that means you can not search by album, artist, genre, etc. When I right click on a file and click Add to DB, nothing happens. How I can synchronize with WMP? I need step by step instructions

I find it easier to use Windows Media Player
