How I can update my ipod without losing OS jailbroken applications?

I want to upgrade my iPod touch to the new version of IOS in April. However, my iPod is already jailbroken and has many applications that I paid to download using Installous. I also discovered I can not sync applications "jailbroken" in iTunes. So now I want to upgrade my iPod to the latest OS without losing my jailbroken applications is that possible?
