Photos of the 4th generation iPod Nano will not work?

I have a 16GB iPod Nano fourth g and I tried to put photos on it. When I'm in the main menu tried to put pictures at the bottom appear at the hearing, but when I images are not there. When I connect to my computer, iTunes opens and starts the synchronization of photos. Then a message appears that says "iTunes can not sync photos to iPod. Disc can not read or write " My PC says the photos are there, but I can not see them on my Ipod. I also use iPhoto for photos. I can use a Mac Someone please help me.
