When the iPhone App Store is available?

Apple has announced applications, 3G phone, etc. When will I be able to download applications for the iPhone? When available the new firmware? I know that the new phone will be available July 11, but we waited so long to upgrade?

The firmware is availible on the same day the new phone. So when you click on iTunes (11 July) and go to updates, you can download for free if you have an iPhone, but if you have an iPod touch which costs $ 9.95.
